At Riverlake Solutions we are actually rather lazy. This makes that we like to do our work as efficient as possible. So, based on past experience, we developed a few tools to help us to relax throughout the project.

Terminal Development Handbook

For the technical development of tank terminals, we use our specialised development methodology as defined in the terminal development handbook. This methodology assists us in structuring projects in a manner that risks for budget overruns and schedule extensions are minimised. We do not keep this handbook just to ourselves, you can benefit as well. It can be downloaded from our website. What we do not share on our website is our library of technical information, specifications, guidelines, drawings and diagrams, all specifically for tank terminals. It enables us to act quickly and provide deep level advice on all topics related to the storage and handling of oil and gas products.

Standardised Tender for EPC contracts

In most cases the construction of tank terminals is contracted to one or just a few contractors. In most cases this concerns so-called Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) contracts. We got a bit tired of reinventing the wheel of the tender documentation time after time, so we standardised it. Sorry, we did not put it on our website, that would make your life too easy. But if you ask us to do the tendering on your behalf, we do it quickly, efficiently and professionally. And you do not need to ask your lawyer to provide you with a construction contract. We have it ready for you, at much lower charges. We are also used to do tenders on behalf of governmental bodies, so transparency of the process is paramount.

Template Operational Procedures and Forms

Most tank terminals are ISO 9001 certified. Many are also ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18000 certified or are thinking about it. And whether you are certified or not, operating a terminal in a responsible manner requires many procedures, work instructions and forms. For loading tank trucks, measuring tanks, issuing letters of protest, draining water, reporting product losses (which we never have), ship-shore safety checklists, enclosed space entry and what more do you have. We have commissioned and operated various terminals for which we developed a large variety of documents. Together they make a very good basis for the commissioning of your terminal. We only have to adapt them to your specific requirements.
